Chimonobambusa marmorea, Chimonobambusa marmorea 'Variegata'The culms are supple, and range in color from light tan-green to deep red-maroon. The leaves are bright green and close together, almost bushy. It grows rapidly in good growing conditions. In autumn, culms turn red and the new shoots are covered by a marbled sheath. It can be used as a clump, hedge, or in a container. It originates from Japan. Form variegata is the same with variegated leaves.
