We are your Bamboo Specialists....

Bamboo Giant is recently under new ownership but still is and always has been a family-owned business that has been providing bamboo to the West Coast and beyond for 25 years.
We have grown over 80 different species of bamboo on
nearly 20 acres of bamboo hidden away in the hills of Aptos. This tranquil nursery & garden feels like stepping into a bamboo forest in China. It features a pond with a waterfall, walking paths, and all the bamboo of your dreams. We are now offering venue services as well! We work hard to provide the best landscaping services possible to meet your needs. Come by anytime during our posted business hours to see for yourself!

Meet Our Bamboo Manager!

Steven Samotis

Steven Samotis has a diverse background with experience in landscaping, construction, arts management, and airport management. Steve brings exceptional customer service, sales expertise, operational flexibility, and project management skills as Bamboo Giant’s new manager. While Samotis enjoys handling field projects large and small, his real joy comes in all the uses our customers find for bamboo! He has helped customers who requested bamboo for a Japanese persimmon drying rack, bamboo poles for traditional Filipino dances at a high school, science experiments at a nearby university, and decorations for refurbished restaurants. When not serving the bamboo needs of the Bay Area, Steve enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife, Eden, spend time on outdoor activities or exploring museums with their six children, cats, and dog.
